Question:  Has there ever been a Pope of African descent?

Dear Alex,
Yes, not only did we have one pope of african descent, but three in the church's history. They are Pope St. Victor 1 (186-197 AD); Pope Militades 1 (311-314 AD); and Pope St. Gelasius 1 (492-496 AD). Hope that answers your questions.
