Topic:  What year was Adam and Eve created?

Question:  I know in Judaism as in Christianity time has been counted from the beginning of creation by measuring the lives of biblical figures starting with Adam and Eve (if I am wrong about this let me know). My question is what year is it, according to the above? What specific religions recognize this year?

Answer: 

There is much speculation to when the earth was created and therefore when Adam and Eve were created, and I don't think anyone really knows for sure. According to Bishop James Ussher, who lived in the 17th century, the year Adam and Eve were creaed would be around 4004 BC. And because it's not exact, religions don't really celebrate the year that God created the earth and Adam and Eve, but instead they celebrate the fact that it did happen.
