Question: Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, Peace and Good. I would be grateful for your help with two unrelated matters. I am a priest living on the banks of the Amazon in northeast Peru, and just came across this site, through the Catholic News service from Australia.1) Could you please let me know if there is a similar service in Spanish. A number of University students in our parish would be keen to use such a service if it exists. Also, a medical student is keen to know of any virtual library on bioethics, also in Spanish.2) One of my nephews is working on the skifields in Colorado, in a place called Steamboat Springs. I don't know too much more about it. He is looking for a nearby parish. I wrote to an email address in Denver, but have not received any reply. If you could help me with the name and address of the nearest parish, and the name and phone no. of the parish priest, I would be most grateful.  Thank you.   John Andersen

Answer:

Dear Father John,

Blessings from the U.S. of A!

In answer to your second question first: the Catholic Parish in Steamboat Springs, Colorado is Holy Name Parish, 504 Oak Street, P.O. Box 774198, Zip Code 80477.  The Pastor there is Father George Schroeder, and the telephone number is (970) 879-0671.

I’ve searched the Internet and was not able to find a service similar to our CatholicQandA site in Spanish.  There is one Catholic site in Spanish: www.iglesia.org which has information and links to other sites.  You could check this one out and decide if it may be helpful to your students there or not.

I am not aware of any library on bioethics available on line in Spanish.  I put a call in to The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly in New Jersey and they are searching there for you as well.  If and when they contact me with some helpful information, I will pass it on to you.

May God continue to bless you in your ministry there!
