Question:  I have currently started a biracial relationship. I was born and raised a Catholic and attended private Catholic schools until college. I attend church regularly and have never heard that this type of relationship is wrong in the eyes of God. My mom who is a teacher in a Catholic school said that she just taught her students this. Needless to say, my parents are not in favor of this relationship and I just wanted to know if it really is wrong in the eyes of the Catholic Church or if this is my mom's way of trying to get me out of the relationship?

Answer:

The Catholic Church does not have any teaching that would prevent biracial marriage. See Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 1935: http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc.htm
